Sergio Hernández

An artist of great versatility in painting, printmaking, drawing and sculpture

Hernández is originally from Oaxaca City, Oaxaca.
He graduated from La Academia de San Carlos and later from La Esmeralda
the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving at the National Institute of Fine Arts.
His work has been exhibited internationally in such places as Kunstverein, Germany
and the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano in Long Beach, California.
National exhibitions include the Instituto de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca
Casa Lamm in Mexico City and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca.

In 2008, Studio Xaquixe joined up with Sergio Hernández

to create the prize medal for the music festival Instrumenta Oaxaca.
