A Dutch-born artist who has gained national and international recognition for his work in paper, metal and other materials.
Jan Hendrix has lived in France, Portugal, Norway, and Ireland, but has been based in Mexico for the last 30 years
where he is one of the most nationally recognized graphic artists.
He belongs to the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte and has participated in several international biennials
such as Sixteenth Biennial in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the Second Biennial of European Graphic Arts in Baden, Germany.
In addition, Hendrix’s architectural interventions can be seen in buildings and public spaces
such as the
Zócalo in the city of Puebla or a bronze mural inhabiting the Hotel Habita in Mexico City.
Hendrix has exhibited individually all over the globe and has collaborated extensively with architects and authors.
